Barcelona have been heavily linked with the hunt for two big names in the striker position: Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland. Rumors regarding the future of Kylian Mbappe continue to circulate considering the French national team striker has the potential to leave Paris Saint-Germain for free at the end of this season. The reason is, Mbappe's contract in Paris will expire June 30, 2022 and the player has not extended his work bond until now. On the other hand, Erling Haaland is still under contract with Borussia Dortmund until 2024.
However, the Norwegian bomber has a release clause of 75 million euros (approximately Rp 1.2 trillion) which became active this summer. Signing these two players will not be easy for Barcelona. Because, Mbappe and Haaland are busy being the target of many elite clubs in the transfer market. Mbappe was so quickly rumored to be anchored to Real Madrid. Meanwhile, Manchester City is rumored to have prepared 120 million euros or around Rp. 1.8 trillion to bring in Haaland.
However, European media are still linking Barca with rumors of signing Mbappe and Haaland or one of the two young stars. Recently, the Blaugrana are widely reported to have held talks and approaches for Mbappe. However, European transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Barca have denied the news on Saturday (26/3/2022).
